New Program To Support Vulnerable Women And Girls During The Pandemic

Femmes en Emploi, a non-profit organization in Laval, has created a new project entitled: “Support to vulnerable women and girls during the pandemic”. It will help mitigate the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19 that mainly affect vulnerable women.

The project will assist women, their families, and newcomers who unfortunately live on the poverty line. This project will allow responding quickly and in a differentiated way to various needs expressed by mothers who are mainly allophone, vulnerable, and unable to meet their well-being needs during the pandemic.

Considering that this extraordinary context calls for equally extraordinary solutions, we are grateful that our partners remain in solidarity with the residents of Laval by supporting the organization’s efforts in this exceptional situation.

The project will begin on September 30, 2021, and end on September 30, 2022. It is possible thanks to the financial contribution of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation through its COVID-19 emergency fund.
